First they were at the beach, now they’re at the pool. I got another update of what I’m missing. This time, they are in the desert, Palm Springs to be exact. They went hiking in the Jacinto mountains yesterday although I doubt that they lasted very long, hiking in the desert.

They went to the desert with the old folks, grandma, grandpa and even lola (great-grandma). Of course, their Auntie Sherry is there too, but I’m sure she wouldn’t want to be lumped in with the old folks. haha! I sure miss all of them!

Lola is really doing well and looking well considering what she’s been through and still is going through. Back in May, I went to California when she was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer. She had an operation to relieve some of the pressure on her organs and to have a colostomy bag put in. She isn’t crazy about the bag, but her will and love of her grandchildren is so strong that she will endure any pain and indignity. She can sit and just watch them (us) all day and just listen.
