I’ve started a cheesy-and-not-so-cheesy-love-song fest on my Facebook page. Everyday until Valentine’s Day I will post some kind of love song that comes to mind. Some are my favorites, some I find funny and some hold special meanings for me. You can take your guess which category each song may fall in ;)

I may not be the only one doing it because yesterday, I found a very cheesy one shared by someone else on Facebook. Unfortunately, it’s a Filipino song and not everyone may not be able to understand it, but you’ll get the idea if you watch the video.

OK, so here’s what I’ve posted so far…
“It’s only words, and words are all I have, to take your heart away.” - Words by The BeeGees

“BECAUSE IT TAKES TWO TO WHISPER QUIETLY” - Vanilla Twilight by Owl City

This is the funny one I was talking about…
“Bangin ka ba kasi, nahuhulog na ako sayo” - Mahal Kita Kasi by Nicole Hyala
(translation: “Are you a cliff? because… I’m falling for you”) It’s funnier in Filipino. LOL!

And today’s lyrics:
“But tell me does she kiss, Like I used to kiss you? Does it feel the same…. When she calls your name? Somewhere deep inside, You must know I miss you But what can I say, Rules must be obeyed” - The Winner Takes it All by ABBA

I love Mama Mia! and even though she is not a singer, I think Meryl Streep performed this song with lots of emotion and singing to Pierce Brosnan… what could be more romantic? LOL!

To my good friend Jet, I LOVE YOU! This one’s for you :) he he!

  1. aww, the song Mahal Kita Kasi is so cheesy heheeh

  2. Aww, I love ABBA! I never got around to seeing Mamma Mia, but I think I might now. You’re right, haha - what could be more romantic than singing to Pierce Brosnan by the oceanside (and having him actually listen)? Love songs are the greatest. :)

  3. I am with you ABBA fan i love ABBA so much my friend and I are dancing queen freaks. i was so happy when Mamma Mia came out but sadly dissapointed by the lack of singing talent in it I thought that it could be so much better but it was ok I guess
