Do You Put Up Halloween Decorations?

Do you decorate for the seasons or for that matter every holiday? There is a house in our neighborhood that decorates their front lawn year round, depending on the season and the occasion. Of course they catch all the major holidays like Independence Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter; but depending on the mood of the owners, they will also put up decorations for the lesser holidays. Flag Day, for example, or Ground Hog Day. We, the neighbors, sure enjoy going by there to check out what’s new!

Me, however, that’s about all I can muster regarding holiday decorations, to admire other people’s efforts. I barely get by decorating inside the house for the kids’ sake as it is.

So I don’t know where my middle child  gets her propensity to decorate on holidays. You think?? (I refuse to believe I’ve somehow traumatized her or deprived her childhood by not decorating)

She’s away at college now and she told me she and her roommate already decorated their apartment, putting up lights and cobwebs and other fall/halloween decors. Now she is contemplating animal print bedding sets to compliment the look. I told her if she can afford it, go for it. lol!

I may have mentioned already how Halloween is my youngest daughter’s favorite holiday since it is also her birthday month. She is already talking about what she wants for her birthday and what she wants to do on Halloween. At least she is now old enough to create her own costumes. I don’t have to worry about that part anymore. My main job now is coming up with the treats. And that, I believe I can still handle with enhusiasm.

The photo above is Clone’s Halloween trick a few years ago (click on the photo to see how she set up this shot). Wonder what she will come up with now?
