I just spent a few late nights watching this Korean teleseries on youtube.com thanks to my friend stel who got me hooked with her mango mouse cake. I just finished the series last night, and my eyes are a bit bleary this morning, but it was well worth the lost sleep.
This teleseries, called My Name is Kim Sam Soon, is about a slightly overweight (by my standards, she looked darn good!) pastry chef pushing 30 who hates her name and is looking for love before she ends up a spinster. Starting with the first episode when she gets dumped on Christmas Eve, I was laughing and crying at the same time, well on my way to getting addicted. I wont give out any spoilers just in case you’d like to watch the series. Plus, I got hubby and Jade hooked on this show also, and they are still only midway through the series. Stel loves episode 13, and I do too as it is the turning point in the series and has one of the funniest scenes in the whole series (I’m sure stel knows which one I’m talking about). Don’t jump to this episode though, you just have to watch it from the beginning in order for it to make sense. The video below is of the first episode. The rest of the episodes are on youtube.com, just search for the name of the series.
This quote was in one of the episodes:
“Work like you don’t need money,
Love like you’ve never been hurt,
And dance like no one’s watching.”
The bottom line is, to live life to the fullest and that “it is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all.”
