My sister O shared this on her facebook profile with the caption:
This one is definitely cute and brought back memories of good times on the boardwalk
I think I’m getting as addicted to YouTube as my daughters! lol This video touched me after finding out that the couple playing the piano duet have been married for 62 years. They are in their nineties and they are still playing music together. They laugh and they have fun. What an inspiration to us who sometimes wonder if we’re going to last another year together. See how their hands gently caress each others hip as they switch places. How they glance at each other and laugh. What a state to aspire for! I was reminded of this quote (the first two lines from the poem Rabbi Ben Ezra) from the poet Robert Browning while watching the video: It’s the quote that I think about sometimes when things get difficult between me and my husband; when I’ve irritated him or when he’s getting on my last nerves, I think to myself… ‘we’ll be laughing at this when we’re gray and old and it wouldn’t seem like the big deal it is now’. Having faith that we are forever… at least for as long as we both shall live
Bah! Time sure flies when you don’t watch it. Well, when you get busy at home and at work, then time just slips away without you even knowing it. No sense crying over slipped time though, you just keep on going. Even though I hadn’t updated in over a week, that doesn’t mean I’ve been totally slack about blogging. I’ve been cooking up in the kitchen. Here’s what I’ve dished up lately: There were also several book giveaways that I entered on Found Not Lost. I don’t know yet if I won any of those, but I’m hoping. If you’d like to win books, check out my newest blog find, S. Krishna’s Books. She reads tons of books then gives them away when she’s done. I’m also reviving the backyard blog. I think it’s supposed to finally stop raining this weekend so maybe we can go out to the garden and start puttering around again. I looked back there today and already I am seeing lots of green. I’ll see if I can get out there tomorrow and take some photos of the returnees. In the meantime, here’s something just for your dancing pleasure. It sure made me dance! Have a great weekend, everyone!
